Research and Planning: Film Poster Codes and Conventions

I have been looking at film posters and seeing what they all tend to include, these are the codes and conventions that I found:

• Cast and crew that is usual at the bottom in the steeltongs font
• The date that the film is coming out or whether it is coming soon
• The film title
• A picture of an actor or actors in the film
• The production companies
• The main actors in the film this usual is put at the top of the posters to encourage an audience to see the film as the more famous the actor the more likely someone will want to see it
• The tag line of the film
