Dear Moderator

Hello,

I hope you enjoy having a look at my A2 blog which I have created this year.

My Research and Planning starts in September and my Evaluation begins in March. You can find my final film poster, magazine and trailer at the top of my blog.

Thank you for all the feedback you have given throughout the year, it is appreciated and has helped me a lot.

Research and Planning: Cinema Visit (Wednesday 2nd January 2013)

Today I have been to the cinemas and watched two films of different age ratings, I wanted to see what types of trailers were shown before the film started.

The first film I watched was 'Pitch Perfect' which is rated a certificate 12A. The trailers that were shown alongside this film were 'Wreck it Ralph' PG, 'Cirque De Soleil' PG, 'Warm Bodies' 12A and 'Les Miserables' 12A these are all films of the same age ratings or just under. All these genres are quite varied which suggests it is attempting to show a range of films in order to attract a broader audience to visit the cinemas again.

The second film I watched was 'Life of Pi' which is rated a certificate PG. The trailers shown before this film were also PG films. Although neither of these films are the same genre film of mine or the same age rating I found it interesting to see what recent films were out and the way other films are advertised around these films.

For my film magazine I am thinking about using other films to promote on my cover, I haven't decided whether to use a range of film genres to get a wider audience or focus on my specific genre films to make a special edition.
