Research and Planning: Film Poster Tag Line Ideas
For the film 'Teeth' the tag line for the poster is 'It's what's inside that counts' this is a horror film,t he tag line gives hints at what the film is about and is something that sticks in an audiences mind. In this case I think the tag line has a comedic feel as the plot to this storyline is a girl has teeth downstairs that eats male parts.
This tag line is for the film 'Inception' and the tag line is 'Some places never let you go' this shows me that a tag line gives subtle hints about the plot of the film so when I am creating mine I should think about how it will link with my film.
For the film ' Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' the tag line is 'Every war has a beginning' I think it is important that the phrase is short and can stick in an audiences mind as well as relate to the film.
Research and Planning: Magazine Cover Line Ideas
The two photos above highlight how the cover lines should be placed on the front cover of the magazine and the way to incorporate them with the image whilst still making them stand out.
I like how the cover lines has a different fonts that make certain parts stand out from others and the use of colours to emphasise words.
They seem to have one main cover line in a large font and then below a list of stuff within that area for the extra information that is included however it is the bigger font that grabs our attention. I like the word 'massive' as it over exaggerates how big the preview special is and makes it seem like you have to read it.
I have decided to research film magazine cover lines to get an idea of how they phrase things and what sort of things they include.

Research and Planning: Audience Feedback For Rough Cut Trailer
After showing the class our rough cut trailer we have received feedback on parts of the trailer they liked and parts they thought we could improve on. This is very important as feedback shows us the parts that we are doing which are successful in entertaining them and parts that they didn't like and wouldn't like to watch. The majority of the feedback is positive in terms of the mise en scene selection and the location which is my area of work. The areas we could develop on are wonky shots which are due to the cinematography manager Alice, we can improve this by re filming certain parts of he trailer and making sure that the tripod is straight. It was also commented on that the scenes were speed up too much which made it look less effective so our editing manager Bethan will have to take the original footage and edit it again so that the sequence isn't too fast as we want an eerie and scary effect. A major problem people highlighted was the sound issue however at the moment we have not focused on sound, the priority is the filming and then when we edit we can figure out what we can do with the sound. In the rough cut we did not work on any sound as we have decided that we may use a character voice over like the one in the trailer for The Lovely Bones. The current rough cut trailer does not make as much sense in terms of plot however there are four more locations that need filming in order for it to be scary and build more suspense. Therefore I now know the areas we need to work on as a group to make our trailer successful and we need to look more into sound as that was the main concern for the audience.
Research and Planning: Rough Cut Of Trailer
Today we quickly edited some of the footage we have and shown the Stalk-Her rough cut trailer to the class in order to get some audience feedback.
